Hello all you lovely people! I'm Kellie, and welcome to SMORGASM Life!

My vision is to create awareness and community. I am what you call a non-traditional student at 37, a mom, wine associate, podcaster, and afresh to the content creator world. So why is creating community so important to me? Well, to sum it up... I've gone through immense trauma, loss, and abuse throughout my life. It led me down a path of self-sabotage but with a big ol' heart of compassion and empathy. My compassion and empathy have sometimes been my weaknesses, but I am learning to see them as my biggest strengths. I try to see the good in everything and everyone and understand that there is always a reason or story behind why people are the way they are. It's all about those layers. Although I have struggled, as many of us have, I somehow find a way to stay optimistic and look at the world around me with an open perspective. Don't get me wrong. I am not this constant ray of sunshine farting out kittens and rainbows. I have my dark pieces too. Think of me as a little of Jess with a side of Ally from the show "New Girl," sprinkled with some ADD and PTSD, and there ya have it. I might be overly punny, sarcastic, and weird, but I am real. There is more to me, more to everyone than meets the eye. I want to utilize my experience by telling my story to help others tell theirs. I want to help others find their voices. To find their authentic selves and understand their behaviors. Help them cope, find purpose, and make meaning in life.

There has always been a stigma surrounding mental and sexual health, which I cannot wrap my head around. I don't know how to put this, but these things are "kind of a BIG DEAL" (Ron Burgundy). They are vital parts of what makes us who we are and what makes this world go round. Connection, vulnerability, and communication impact everything about our mental and sexual health on another level. So I want to debunk that LAME ASS stigma. SMORGASM Life is a safe space where we can get our creative juices flowing with a smorgasbord of life's pleasures. A place where we can get real, get vulnerable, get deep, get dirty, get weird, and have fun. Let's make a difference. WE ARE NOT ALONE. There is much work to be done, a process in the making, but let's see what happens. Let's make uncomfortable comfortable!
